The school was started in the year 2002 at a site and service scheme at Kambi Somali, Kakamega town. It was started in the loving memory of Festo and Elizabeth Minishi who had served as teachers for many years. The school started with an enrollment of three pupils. One teacher and one support staff who also worked as a cashier, cook, receptionist, cleaner.

In year 2003 enrollment increased to 27 pupils and two teachers. It is during this year that the school acquired a school van for transporting pupils. By the year 2004, the enrollment was at 67 and the parents kept on encouraging us to start a primary school, because of the good work that has been done by the pupils and the teachers.

In 2005 Fesbeth academy Primary section was born and it was located in Otiende Estate Kakamega town. With its birth there was steady increment of learners and by the end of the 2005 academic year, our enrollment was at 135 pupils.

In 2007, the school acquired its first bus to be used to ferry our learners to and from school. It was always our dream to have a fleet of buses in the future with the increasing number of learners in our institution. In 2009 we were able to purchase our second bus.

2010 our boarding section started with 44 pupils. 18 girls and 26 boys. Our school Is both boarding and day school from Early childhood development to Grade 9.  The school gradually grew to become the biggest, well known accomplished school in Kakamega county. Currently the school is using 7 buses and with the grace of our dear Lord, we are to be adding another soon.

We are in the process of starting our Junior and Senior secondary school under the new Competency Based Curriculum.

The far we have come it has taken the hand of our almighty God. We thank God for supporting the school financially and having great faith in the school Director Madam Ruth Minishi and her team. May God bless you all May God Bless Fesbeth Academy, Our blessed Ground.
